A Favorite Breakfast Recipe from Beach Grove Guest House

 

FRESH PEACH FRENCH TOAST 

4               eggs                       

1      cup     half-and-half

1/4   cup     sugar 

8      slices   French bread, 1/2 inch thick

6                 fresh  peaches

1/4    cup     sliced almonds toasted (optional) 

                   confectioners sugar or whipped cream (optional)

In a medium bowl whisk together eggs, half and half and sugar.  Place bread slices in a shallow pan and pour egg mixture over top. Turn bread over to saturate thoroughly. cover and refrigerate overnight. Next day melt 4 tbsp. butter on a hot griddle. Fry bread 4 to 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. To serve top with peaches or any other choice of fruit.
